It depends on the length of the rod. Mine are 24 "long and a towel folded in half length-wise with room for a towel folded in half. Napkins folded into three parts adapted to take a long dry season
Fold long way in three parts and covers the open end of the rack. This works for the door with a stick or Lope.

Fold into thirds lengthwise, but be sure that the opposite side of the door of the folded edge so that you can not see the edges.
